The bodies of the vdp are allocated to five business segments:

• Business segment Real Estate Finance
• Business segment Public Finance
• Business segment Ship and Aircraft Finance
• Business segment Pfandbrief and Capital Market
• Business segment Services

Within these business segments, committees work on partial aspects of each business segment. Three overarching working groups deal with the topics statistics, market making and rating. In addition, various specialist committees and permanent working groups are set up as and when necessary.
